The Confidence Project
A Social Anxiety Group for Middle School Students
September 14 – October 19, 2026
Mondays | 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM
GHCS Memorial Office
Middle school can be overwhelming, especially for students who worry about fitting in, speaking up, or being judged by others. The Confidence Project is a therapist-led, six-week social anxiety group designed to help middle school students build confidence, reduce anxiety, and feel more comfortable navigating friendships, school, and everyday social situations.
Using evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), students will learn practical strategies to better understand anxiety, challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, manage difficult emotions, and gradually face social situations with greater confidence—all in a supportive environment alongside peers who understand what they’re experiencing.
