Licensed Professional Counselor Associate

Young Adult & Anxiety Therapist in Katy, TX | Therapy for College Students and Adults

Therapy for the People Who Always Feel Like They Have to Hold Everything Together

Maybe you’re the “therapist friend.”
The oldest daughter.
The overachiever.
The one everyone depends on.

You might look capable on the outside while internally feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from yourself. Maybe you’ve spent years trying to meet expectations, stay productive, avoid disappointing others, or prove your worth through achievement and independence.

And maybe no one has really asked how you’re doing underneath all of that.

Tran Luu is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate providing therapy in our Katy, Texas office and via telehealth throughout Texas for college students, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, ADHD, stress, life transitions, depression, relationship challenges, and identity-related concerns.

Her goal is to create a therapy space where clients feel emotionally safe enough to slow down, process their experiences honestly, and reconnect with themselves without judgment.

Therapy for Young Adults, Anxiety, ADHD, and Life Transitions in Katy, TX

Tran works especially well with clients who:

  • Feel overwhelmed by pressure and expectations
  • Struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, or burnout
  • Experience ADHD symptoms or difficulty managing stress
  • Feel emotionally exhausted from always being “the strong one”
  • Navigate relationship challenges or attachment wounds
  • Are processing identity, cultural experiences, or major life transitions

As both an immigrant and Gen Z therapist, Tran understands the emotional complexity that can come with identity, cultural expectations, independence, achievement pressure, and navigating different versions of yourself across environments and relationships.

Many of her clients are high-functioning externally while quietly struggling internally.

A Therapy Approach That Feels Authentic

Tran believes therapy should feel collaborative, flexible, and real—not overly clinical or performative.

Her style is warm, direct, thoughtful, and honest. She works to create a space where clients feel comfortable being fully themselves while also being gently challenged to explore deeper emotional patterns, relationships, and beliefs that may be keeping them stuck.

Her therapeutic approach integrates:

  • Attachment Theory
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Solution-Focused Therapy
  • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)

She tailors therapy to each individual client, recognizing that healing is not one-size-fits-all.

Understanding the Connection Between Childhood and Relationships

One of Tran’s primary clinical interests is helping clients understand how early life experiences shape:

  • Relationships
  • Emotional patterns
  • Attachment styles
  • Self-worth
  • Communication patterns
  • Friendships and romantic relationships

Together, therapy may involve identifying hidden emotional patterns, strengthening boundaries, improving self-awareness, and building healthier relationships with both yourself and others.

More Than a Therapist

Outside of therapy, Tran enjoys exploring new restaurants, reading novels, discovering local cafes, and spending time with her fiancé and three cats. As a Gen Z therapist, she also enjoys connecting through humor, memes, pop culture, and shared experiences that help therapy feel more approachable and relatable.

She believes therapy can absolutely involve deep work while still leaving room for laughter, curiosity, and authenticity along the way.
