Jessica Peralta

Licensed Professional Counselor

Adolescents, Adults & Couples | Memorial, Houston & Telehealth Across Texas

You may know that something needs to change, but not always know where to start. Maybe you're carrying experiences from your past that continue to affect your relationships, confidence, or the way you see yourself. Maybe you're an adolescent trying to make sense of emotions and expectations that feel bigger than you. Or maybe you're a couple who still cares deeply about each other but has lost some of the friendship and connection that once came naturally.

Jessica Peralta, LPC, works with adolescents, adults, and couples who want to better understand what's happening beneath the surface and feel more confident moving forward. Her approach is especially focused on helping clients identify the roots of their concerns, understand how past experiences influence the present, and develop greater clarity about what they want for themselves and their relationships.

Therapy That Helps You Understand the Bigger Picture

Jessica believes therapy should be a place where you can speak honestly without worrying about being judged or having to present a polished version of yourself.

She creates a supportive environment where clients can slow down, talk through what they're experiencing, and begin making sense of thoughts, emotions, relationships, and patterns that may be difficult to understand on their own.

Rather than simply focusing on what's happening today, Jessica helps clients explore where their concerns may come from and how those experiences continue to shape their lives now. This process can help you develop greater self-awareness, make more intentional decisions, and move forward with a stronger sense of confidence and autonomy.

Support for Adolescents

The adolescent years can bring significant changes in identity, relationships, emotions, and expectations.

Jessica works with teens who may be struggling to understand themselves, communicate what they're feeling, navigate relationships, or manage challenges that have become difficult to handle alone.

Therapy provides adolescents with a space to speak openly, process their experiences, and develop a stronger understanding of who they are and what they need.

Individual Therapy for Adults

For adults, Jessica's work focuses on helping you make sense of the experiences that have shaped you while identifying what may be keeping you stuck today.

Whether you're struggling with self-confidence, relationships, unresolved experiences, or simply feel uncertain about your next step, therapy can provide an opportunity to step back, gain perspective, and reconnect with your own voice.

Jessica works collaboratively with clients to help them build clarity, autonomy, and confidence rather than simply telling them what they should do.

Couples Therapy: Rebuilding the Friendship

Relationships can change over time.

Sometimes couples still love each other but feel more like roommates than partners. Communication becomes harder, conflict becomes more frequent, or the friendship that once brought you together starts to feel distant.

When working with couples, Jessica emphasizes the importance of strengthening the friendship within the relationship. She helps partners create space to speak openly, understand one another more deeply, and take intentional steps toward rebuilding connection.

Couples don't have to wait until their relationship is in crisis to seek support. Therapy can also be a valuable opportunity to strengthen an already meaningful relationship.

A Place to Find Your Voice

Jessica believes therapy should help you become more confident in your ability to understand yourself, make decisions, and navigate life's challenges.

Her goal isn't to tell you who you should be or make decisions for you. Instead, she works alongside you as you explore your experiences, identify what matters to you, and develop a clearer sense of direction.

Education & Experience

Jessica earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Houston–Victoria in 2016 and her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Houston–Victoria in 2021.

Her clinical work focuses on adolescents, adults, and couples, with an emphasis on helping clients understand the connection between their past experiences, present circumstances, relationships, and sense of self.
