A Path Rooted in Service and Growth
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Houston, where I developed a deep appreciation for the ways people grow, adapt, and connect. My first professional role was as a case manager for adults with disabilities, a population I loved working with and a role that taught me the power of advocacy, patience, and human connection. Over time, I felt called to do more, to support others not just through systems navigation, but through emotional healing.
That calling led me to Lamar University, where I completed my Master of Education in Counseling and Development. I am now a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, under the supervision of Maria Benezra, LPC-S, am fluent in both English and Spanish, and passionate about making therapy accessible and culturally responsive.
How I Work With Clients
My approach to counseling centers on the belief that our thoughts shape how we experience the world. When negative patterns go unchallenged, they can limit how we respond to life’s challenges. I work with clients to shift those patterns using a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Person-Centered Therapy. Always tailored to each individual’s needs and goals.
Therapy, to me, is a collaborative process. I aim to bring insight, tools, and perspective into the room, while creating space for your voice, your story, and your goals to guide the work. Whether we’re building coping skills, exploring trauma, improving relationships, or working toward greater self-awareness, I’m here to support you at your pace and with care.
Creating a Space Where You Can Be You
My goal is to foster a space that feels safe, inclusive, and judgment-free. I work with children (ages 10+), teens, and adults, meeting each person where they are with warmth and respect. Starting therapy isn’t always easy, but it is a powerful step toward healing, growth, and deeper self-connection. I’m honored to be a part of that journey with you.
